I like this quote by the Dalai Lama. It’s direct and to the point, and the words provide inspiration for creativity and teamwork, which are key to responsible action. Action is the cornerstone of leadership.
Harold Geneen was the president of ITT from 1959 to 1977 during which time the company experienced exponential growth. Here’s what he had to say about action in leadership:
The correlation between responsibility and leadership is evident. You see, if we become able leaders and model that behavior to our teams, we ensure that respect and responsibility remain at the forefront of our efforts to pursue excellence, support and mentor one another, and grow together.
This week is also the time when those who practice Judaism commemorate Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the faith. To all of our Jewish brothers and sisters, we wish you peace and offer this sentiment:
