We survived another hot week! I hope you didn’t let the heat stop you from doing the things you enjoy, particularly with self-care. I was reminded over the weekend how precious our peace of mind is and how we must guard against anything that might upset the balance we seek.

Jaggi Vasudev, better known as Sadhguru, is a bestselling author, yogi, and founder of the Isha Foundation, a non-profit organization whose focus is social transformation through yoga. Sadhguru has been recognized as a leader in human advancement and has addressed both the United Nations and the World Economic Forum several times. His words are poignant as we continue to discover ways to enrich and enhance our Wellbeing. We all have choices when it comes to our state of health and happiness. If we address each of the elements holistically and inclusively, we position ourselves for peace. This state of Wellbeing transcends our internal locus of evaluation, as well as the external influences that may be unreliable or develop into distractions.

Attending to our physical needs strengthens our bodies to withstand trials. Strengthening our minds assists with battling discouragement in favor of tranquility. Becoming emotionally stable allows us to maneuver through challenging times and helps us maintain a balanced lifestyle. Each component lends strength to our resolve for joy and Wellbeing. Indeed, balance in the areas of physical, mental/emotional, social, and spiritual Wellbeing increase the quality and longevity of life.
