I hope you had a lovely weekend and are fully engaged in the Holiday Season. It’s such a great time to enjoy activities and gatherings with friends and loved ones.

It’s also a wonderful time to dream a little. The Holidays conjure up images of times past when we were less influenced by the obstacles in life and more willing to imagine. This is particularly true of the coming New Year. Sometimes we put pressure on ourselves to review the shortcomings of the current year and make plans for improvement in the coming year. (I know many of you are already justifying that extra peppermint mocha with the looming resolutions!) I wonder what it might look like to abandon the idea of starting that new diet on January 2nd or making that resolution in favor of dreaming of what could be.

Perhaps there’s a career move that you’ve wanted to make but are distracted by fears. Maybe you’re faced with a new opportunity to make an impact in an innovative way. Some of us may just need to switch-it-up a bit and allow some freshness in our lives. Others may just need to practice dreaming again.

John C. Maxwell has some thoughts about dreams and dreaming:

“Dare to dream and act on that dream. Do it in spite of problems, circumstances and obstacles. History is filled with men and women who faced adversity and achieved success in spite of it.”

What’s the key to accomplishing your dreams? We believe it’s determination.

Some people succeed because they are destined but most because they are determined. -Unknown

Tony Robbins would tell us that,

“The only person who is truly holding you back is you. No more excuses. It’s time to change. It’s time to live life at a new level.”

This week, don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits. Encourage yourself to move beyond perceived limitations and dare to dream! We think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the results.
