Good Morning and Happy Monday!
I hope you’re well and rested from the weekend! Perhaps you did some ‘shop therapy’ in preparation for the holidays. Maybe you took a longer walk than usual and felt the decompression of being in nature. Or, you may have spent time with dear friends who add to the dimension of your life. In whatever manner you chose to spend your precious downtime, I know your mind, body, and spirit are grateful for the break from the daily grind!

There are so many ways to recognize and implement the practice of gratitude in our lives. I say practice because the more we consider our good fortune and blessings, the greater room we have in our hearts for compassion and goodwill toward others. Being grateful truly unlocks the fullness of life by reminding us that we live in a time when there are so many options and opportunities for us to advance and to promote the development of others. We are intimately interconnected as humanity continues to evolve. When we recognize our bond with one another, it’s nearly impossible to turn a blind eye to the needs of others.
This aspect is particularly true when we look at our opportunities to show gratitude to the people around us. Suddenly, we recognize that diversity and inclusion promote charitable thinking and acceptance. We discover that chaos and confusion dissipate and that the ensuing order paves the way for clarity of thought and fuels affirmative action. Our hearts become filled with the need to engage people on a new level and offer our gifts and talents for the betterment of another, extending helping hands that turn strangers into friends. It was Seneca who wrote, “Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart.” A culture of honor, then, promotes appreciation, and by honoring others, we engage in the practice of gratitude.
“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NLT)
Let’s have a lovely week counting our blessings and living moments of gratitude for the privilege.
Be Well & Be Blessed!
