Their premise is that through honest self-evaluation and by accepting responsibility for our actions and words; we position ourselves to cultivate the skills we need to create more favorable outcomes in our lives and in the lives of others.
We agree with this concept and support the effectiveness of the honesty as foundational to self-care and to helping others. If we have the courage and strength to look at ourselves authentically and with compassion, we can observe others with a kind and loving attitude. When we model these values, we teach others to respond in ways that cultivate positivity and inclusion, as well.
