I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We know the importance of self-care, so with a bit of luck and the right timing, I’m hoping you were able to spend some time in that pursuit. For those of you who are fathers or becoming fathers, I wish you a happy belated Father’s Day and hope you were celebrated in style!
Further to our Wellbeing discussion relating to self-discipline, I thought we might consider the following quote:
Those of us who are not confrontational by nature may find this to be a difficult task at best. The idea may be uncomfortable and necessitate some real courage, on our part, to face the elements in our lives that we find unsavory or require adjustment. The prospect may be true of personal challenges of which we are aware, like obtaining better physical or emotional health. Or, the process might need to be applied to issues that we’ve buried or have tried to avoid. To confront means to face up to and deal with something, according to Webster’s.
I wonder what it would be like to view our perceived weaknesses or limitations with curiosity and gentleness. What would happen if we extended understanding to ourselves? If we captured the vision of embracing the things that seem to be elusive to become encouraged and empowered. Then, what might happen if, in our new self-understanding and strength, we were able to extend a lifeline to another person who may need to fortify his or her character?
We believe the long-term effects could be far-reaching and may astound us!
Have a lovely week of self-discovery!
Be Well and Be Blessed!
