Happy Monday!
I hope you had a beautiful weekend honoring the moms in your life while maintaining some healthy lifestyle choices! It was such a lovely weekend to be outside and enjoy the freshness of nature. Sometimes we forget how a walk in the park, arboretum, or around the neighborhood can lift our spirits. It’s worth the time and leaves us feeling energized and relaxed.
Periodically, we face daunting challenges that seem to overwhelm and exasperate us. It might take the face of a work assignment, studying for an exam, or preparing to advance in athletic pursuits or other activities. There are occasions when we feel as though we can’t take one more step in the efforts toward completion. Other times we push on until we realize the goal. The latter is an example of persistence.
Persistence isn’t easy and can be fraught with difficult decisions, choices, and sacrifices. The results, however, tend to be extremely rewarding. We have to find the strength to continue and not give in to our negative thoughts or emotions.
We may have a deadline that seems unreasonable. However, pushing to the finish line can be exhilarating when we fix our intentions on persistence. Maybe we’re studying for an important exam, and we feel inadequate and unprepared. Setting daily goals and being persistent and responsible will aid us in being more equipped. Perhaps we’re working toward the next level of athleticism. Perseverance and persistence are critical to overcoming our perceived shortcomings.
Persistence takes action. There’s an underlying determination to succeed that supports our diligence and motivates us to finish well. Albert Einstein had this to say:

Similarly, it’s been said that,
“Your ability to persist in the face of setbacks and disappointments is your measure of the belief in yourself and your ability to succeed.” John Witt, Business Coach
And, here’s a wonderful example of persistence in Scripture:
“And so I tell you, ask and it will be given you, search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. The one who asks will always receive; the one who is searching will always find, and the door is opened to the man who knocks.” Luke 11:9 (DARBY)
The passage encourages us to persist in our quests, knowing that the answer will be forthcoming!
So, what mountains in your life need to move? Do you have the ability to face setbacks and disappointments with resolve and belief in yourself? Are you willing to ask, search, and knock on whatever doors block your success? If the answer to these questions is a resounding yes, don’t let anything stop you from accomplishing your goals. You have everything within to ensure your success.
“If you are persistent you will make it, if you are consistent, you will keep it.” (Unknown)
Make it a wonderful week and diligently pursue your goals. Who knows, you may get there sooner than you think. And as an additional benefit, you may also be the catalyst and inspiration for another’s journey. In any event, the benefits of persistence are worth the effort!
Be Well & Be Blessed!
