Good Monday Morning!
How was your weekend? Did you spend some time mindfully reflecting on the connection to your purpose? Were there a few moments when you allowed yourself to relax and enjoy your surroundings? Did you bond with someone dear to you? Was there time to consider the needs of your body?
I hope you can answer in the affirmative to a least some of these questions. They represent the areas we’ve focused on for these last months. The relevance is reflected in the concept of wellbeing and in creating a functional life balance.
There are times when we need to escape our current surroundings to provide space for embracing the positive aspects of life. For the most part, I believe much of our experiences in life are amazing. Sometimes we feel powerful and able to conquer our personal mountains. Other times, however, we feel vulnerable and inadequate. The possibilities are limitless when we take a moment to contemplate silently.
We may be able to create the mental space to marinate on a challenge, seeing various elements in different ways than previously perceived. We may pause to take mental and emotional inventory of our current circumstances, which might provide more encouragement than imagined. Or, we might take a moment to breathe and allow our overtaxed minds the freedom to wander.
Do take a minute, this week, to walk outside, stand there, in silence, look up at the sky, and contemplate your many blessings. It’s good medicine. It’s also a brilliant way to address your wellbeing.
