I hope you had an enjoyable weekend and took the time for some self-care. For many of us, all this cloudy, wet weather can take a toll on our sense of wellbeing. Be sure to soak up some Vitamin D today as it looks like the sun will be shining!

Mandy Hale is a New York times best-selling author, focusing on how to live authentically. Here’s what she has to say about honesty:

Be honest about who you are flaws and all. You never know who you are inspiring by simply being you.

I wonder how often we think about the fact that we may be inspiring someone, even though we’re flawed. Often we think the only way to be a good role model is to show our good traits and hide our perceived imperfections. If we pause for a moment and think about the lessons we’ve learned, my guess is that we’ll discover we learned more when we experienced disappointment than when everything was ‘perfect’ in our eyes. I also wonder about those who have gained our esteem. Were they flawless, above reproach or did they allow their flaws and foibles to add to the dimension of their humanity.

Simply being you is amazing! You are awesome and have a distinct purpose and destiny to be fulfilled – flaws and all! If we live authentically, honestly, we’re likely to inspire others to strive to embrace their own lives genuinely, as well.

Have a wonderful week just being you!
