Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you had a pleasant weekend exploring new horizons and spending relaxing time with those important people in your life. If you observed Orthodox Easter yesterday, I pray your time was blessed!
Courage is a virtue that speaks to demonstrated integrity, regardless of the hindrances or challenges.
Aristotle wrote that courage means to “bear the accidents in life with dignity and grace, making the best of circumstances.”
Horace noted that courage “raises the blood of life to crimson splendor” posing a “brave front to adversity.”
I believe courage is foundational to wellness because, without courage, we may never take that first step toward balanced and optimal health. Some of us desire a group with whom to share common interests, while others prefer private challenges to gain empowerment over troublesome areas. Some wish to become stronger in their faith or struggle with disciplining themselves in the pursuit of physical strength.
In any case, a gentle approach, being sensitive to our capacity for change may assist us in taking the necessary first steps.
Have a wonderful week taking steps toward your goals!
Be Well & Be Blessed!
