How nice to see the sunshine after all the lovely rain we’ve had! I hope you had a chance to enjoy some time outside over the weekend. We have lots going on this Holy Week with both Easter and Passover preparations, but do take a few moments each day to soak in that Vitamin D!
This week is our last to consider the character trait of Diligence. I particularly appreciate Buddha’s words:
We live busy, chaotic, hectic lives with our attention being pulled in many different directions. We are tasked with determining what takes priority and which items on our current ‘To Do’ lists will make the daily cut. It takes diligence to focus on the essential details in accomplishing our goals and becoming successful in our endeavors.
It also takes diligence to learn to let go of the things that don’t warrant our consideration to the extent that we often ascribe them. Often we are better served if we take a few moments to recalibrate, allow our minds to rest, and gain perspective in our understanding of how diligence and timing work together.
I wish you a productive week as you diligently craft your plans. I also hope you enjoy random moments of quiet inspiration and that you seek times of rest to increase your ability to persevere.
